Food Frenzy and Errors
- Objective
- Students will be able to calculate percent error and use proportions to predict real world situations.
- Description
- In this challenge, students will make predictions about which potential main dishes would be most popular in their school’s cafeteria and use the polling tool to test their prediction. Students then use proportions to predict the number of students in their school who will choose each dish. Finally, students will recommend using their data and analysis which dish should be served in the cafeteria.
- Tips
- We would suggest that students work in pairs on this activity as they will be able to brainstorm ideas and also collaborate on proportions.
